Dave Kuhns, PhD, as the Chief Science Officer and Founder at ProSomnus® Sleep Technologies with $40MM in revenue in 2025. As CSO Dave was responsible for developing Intellectual Property, Regulatory filings and the Scientific Advisory Board. He drives product commercialization by focusing on clinical evidence and the customer experience. Prior to starting ProSomnus, Dave was Senior Director of Product Development and Technical Sales at MicroDental Laboratories from 2013 to 2016. While at MicroDental, Dave increased percent of total revenues from new products by 3x, products included the MyDentalLab.com, Customer Web Portal, MicroShade℠ Digital Shade Matching System and the MicrO2® Sleep and Snore Device, which became the flagship product for ProSomnus. He is co-inventor of the MicrO2® Sleep and Snore Device. Before joining MicroDental, Dave held a variety of product development positions at 3M from 1996 to 2013. At 3M Unitek he developed the Unitek™ TMP treatment management portal for the Incognito™ appliance system. At 3M Medical Division, Dave developed products for Infection Prevention and at the 3M Engineering Systems and Technology group, Dave created sensor and measurement systems. Dave has a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Washington, Seattle, and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Illinois, Urbana/Champaign. He has more than a dozen patents in the fields of Medical, Dental, Sensors and Software Design and has won numerous awards in Technical Excellence.
